I was part of a sold out theater for this on sunday, and it was was brilliant. Followed the same style as Wes Anderson's other movies, and was downright hysterical from start to finish. I didn't like Owen Wilson's character, but Bill Murray deserves an Oscar for his work. Sadly, I don't think this film will get recognized though. Willem Dafoe was great as Klaus, and I loved Jeff Goldblum as Zissou's rival, Alistair Hennessey. And the soundtrack and cinematography are great, I love how they show the side view of the boat a lot, like it was cut in half to show all the rooms. I won't spoil anything, but please do see this. You will not be disappointed.

I saw it, and it was wonderful! Easily one of my favorite movies. So hilarious. Willem Defoe's character (Klaus) is one of my favorite movie characters of all time. Just seeing him on screen made me laugh. Wonderful movie, and Bill Murray rocked as usual.

oh man. this movie owned all over.
i loved it so much. every character was well done. and as mal said, esspecially klaus. i did come in 15 minutes late however.
my favorite parts were deffinetly when he just says "let me tell you about my boat" and the ridiculous action scene was good too.
the set design on the ship was brilliantly done. i loved the way it was shot. when owen wilson and bill murray were arguing and going through the boat and the camera was following them from the outside looking in. very well done.
one of my fav's and i will buy it on dvd.
i'm now a member of team zissou.

Yeah, that was great. Such an awesome set. Yeah, how it looked cut in half to show all the rooms. So bad-ass. So, what, only 3 people out of nearly 900 on here saw this movie?

So, what, only 3 people out of nearly 900 on here saw this movie? guess so. i also found the characters were a bit lacking. it seemed as if steve, ned, and the reporter and, to a lesser extenet, klaus were the only developed characters.

I saw it, could have been a lot better but was still leaps and bounds better than the crapfest I like to call "Lost in Translation." I fell asleep during that motherfucker.
